Why Choose SJS

Join our journey of academic excellence through the formation of faith.

At St. Jerome School we instill in our students a lifelong commitment to learning, to living Christian virtues, and we prepare them for lives of faith, service, and leadership. Because of our emphasis on service, we cultivate in every student the value of “helping others” and their responsibility to “give back to the community.” Graduates leave St. Jerome School with a strong academic and moral foundation, allowing them to take on leadership roles in their schools and churches, often serving as Christian role models for their peers. Activities and programs that strengthen these skills include:

Faith Formation

Our goal is educating the whole person, integrating Christian values with learning in daily life. We recognize the uniqueness and individuality of children so we encourage them to discover and develop their God-given gifts.

Academic Excellence

St. Jerome School is fully accredited by the Wisconsin Religious and Independent Schools (WRISA). We are proud that many SJS graduates move on to perform in the top 10% of high school students. Our dedicated teachers make a positive impact in your child’s spiritual, moral, physical, and intellectual development. They are inspiring, engaging, passionate, and nurturing for your child.

Strong Community

A faith filled education begins with the family and grows through the community. School families are encouraged to participate in weekly liturgies and in a variety of school and parish service efforts. Recognizing that our community extends beyond SJS to our parish, our students often serve in our parish as music leaders and altar servers. We partner with you, the child’s first teacher, because involved parents foster involved students. Our Buddy family program is available to new families as a mentoring program to assist with questions and communication when your child begins at St. Jerome School.

Safe, Nurturing Environment

Through our words and actions, we provide a safe community that nurtures your child. Our staff is CPR and First Aid certified, all staff and volunteers are VIRTUS trained through the Diocese of Madison, and we have a security-locked building. We offer small class sizes and our students have 1-on-1 time with teachers.
