Notes from Mrs. Van Norman

Welcome to St. Jerome School

Welcome, thank you for your interest in St Jerome School. I am the school Principal and enjoy being a part of our students’ daily lives. We are blessed to have a team of dedicated teachers who make a positive impact in each student’s spiritual, moral, physical and intellectual development.

We take pride in the success of each of our students and strive to develop strong leadership skills and a sense of “service to others” in each one. We have many opportunities to accomplish this, but my favorite is our Buddy Program. This program pairs older students with younger students for the school year. They attend Mass together and complete a variety of activities throughout the year. I really enjoy watching the interaction when a younger child sees their buddy during the day and the welcoming response our older students give them.

We also partner with our school parents, the child’s first teacher in many ways. Involved parents foster involved students and together we help our children learn the value of “service to others.” Through our words and actions, we provide a safe community that nurtures your child.

I look forward to talking with you further about St. Jerome School. Please feel free to contact me for a tour and ask any questions that you may have. Our website also provides additional information about our school, see “Why Choose SJS” as a starting point.
